Hi. I just found a bunch of sources of accessible religious material and thought I'd post the information here to share with anyone interested. Since some of the info turned out to be links in the form of names you click on, I couldn't post the actual list, but the site is at http://blindreaders.info/religion.html . Most of the sources are general Christian things, but there are some things for denominations such as Catholic, and for other religions such as Judiism and Islam. Just thought I'd share this and hope it helps anyone. Thanks. *smile*
There's also a site that has alot of old material from all sorts of religions. I wouldn't usually recommend it if you want really accurate translations, but it's good if you need to refresh your memory or read something without having to have it scanned.

Hey thanks guys for the two sites. I didn't even know that they existed! Smiles!
Is anyone a Braille reader? I guess if you are, you probably already know about the Lutharn Workers for the Blind and such?

I wish I could get my religious material in braille. I bet they have it, but then I'd have to check the translations. Anyway, it would be nice to have smaller things like the Homeric and Orphic Hymns, Hesiod's Theogony and a book with different myths. I couldn't imagine getting something like The Iliad or The Odyssey in braille. lol Maybe a few plays would be nice too. But I think the most important would be some hymns, our calendar and a quick reference of deities.
The odyssey is only like 6 or 7 volumes even the long version. I have it on my braille-note. The byble is also availlable at web braille, and also the odyssey.
For those of you interested in getting Catholic material in an accessible format, there is a place called Xavier Society for the Blind, and they now have a website at http://www.xaviersociety.com. They have a library of books you can borrow, plus they will give you a book of what is said/done during the Masses, and for each month, they will give you the readings that are done for each month also.
Ooh, which translation of the Odyssey do you have? Another good site is

They have stuff in English, Greek, Latin and I just saw something about Arabic. Very nice collection.
If you are interested in getting the Bible, try Braille Bible Foundation for the King James Version 1611 or Lutheran Braille Workers for the New International Version. I own both of them.
Does anyone know where I can find an accessible version of the NASB?
